Obituary of Avis Jackson Faulkenbury

COLUMBIA-A funeral service celebrating the life of Avis Jackson Faulkenbury, 79, of Columbia, SC will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Trinity Church, 1501 Hallbrook Drive, Columbia, SC 29209 with Pastor Terry Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service on Wednesday at the church. Mother went on to be with the Lord on Friday, October 11, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chesterfield County, SC to Tom Jackson and Sally Brock Jackson. Ms. Faulkenbury was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Joe C. Faulkenbury; three siblings, Jo Castanien, Hazel Rogers, and Tommy Jackson. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her daughter, Robin F. Evans; two grandsons, Jonathan and Christopher Evans; a sister, Sarah J. Crisco (E.R.); a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Special appreciation is extended to Dr. Anne S. Hutchison of South Carolina Oncology & Associates and Tri-County Hospice for their care and support during the illness of our loved one, Avis Jackson Faulkenbury.
