Obituary of William Evans

LEXINGTON-A memorial service for William "Scooter" Evans, 16, of Lexington, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church,West Campus, 742 Kitti Wake Drive, West Columbia. The Reverend Dr. Pete Cassidy will officiate. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trident United Way 211 Hotline, 6296 Rivers Avenue, N. Charleston, SC 29406. Scooter passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013. Born in West Columbia, SC, he was a son of William James and Kendall Boggs Evans. He was a student at White Knoll High School where he was a member of JROTC. Scooter was well loved by his family and friends. He was an avid Clemson fan. Surviving are his parents, Will and Kendall Evans; brother, Jacob Evans all of Lexington; grandparents, Gene and Diana Boggs of Lexington and Patricia Evans of Talladega, AL; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn Boggs and Bo Evans of Talladega, AL.
