Obituary of Lavanda Alford Elmore

A private memorial for the life of Lavanda "Van" Alford Elmore, 65, of Columbia will be held at a later date with his family. "Van" as he was affectionately called by his family and friends departed this earthly life on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. He was born in Lee County, SC to the late Ervin Alford Elmore and Lavania Davis Elmore. "Van" retired from McEntire Joint National Guard Base and he was also a retired tax consultant. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Faye McNeely Elmore; daughters, Valerie Pasqualini (Luca), Tonya Tyndal, and Jodi Brown; two grandsons, Christian Kline and Dustin Brown; a sister, Barbara Watkins (Wilton); a brother, John E. Elmore (Bonnie); a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
