Obituary of Sybil F. McLeod

SWANSEA—Funeral services for Sybil F. McLeod, 70, of Swansea, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. Pastor D. Lee Bowling will officiate. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Cemetery in Swansea. The family will greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. McLeod passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013. Born in Aiken, she was a daughter of Jeanette Kirkland and the late Finley J. Kirkland. She was a lifelong area resident and enjoyed fishing and dirt track racing. Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 53 years, Lee W. McLeod, Jr.; daughter, Karen Watford; sons, Robert McLeod (Elizabeth), Lindsay McLeod (Marlane), Scott McLeod and Richard McLeod (Selena); 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Cindy Stone (Pete); brothers, Ronnie F. Kirkland (Lynnell) and Phillip J. Kirkland; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
