Obituary of Harry Melton Harley

WEST COLUMBIA—A graveside for Harry M. Harley, Sr. 77, of West Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013 in Southland Memorial Gardens. Reverend Ed Lynch will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Mr. Harley, beloved husband of the late Minnie Lou Rutledge Harley, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013. Born in North, SC, he was a son of the late Milton Harley and Daisy Bell Williams Harley. He was a lifelong area resident and retired from construction where he worked as a brick mason. Surviving are his daughters, Debra Edmonds, Nancy Howell (mike) and Barbara Eversole all of West Columbia; sons, Harry M. Harley, Jr. of West Columbia, Robert Harley and George David Harley (Virginia) all of Lexington; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Sharpe of Lexington, Mrs. Odell Shealy of Saluda, Faye Holden of Clinton; brother, Roger Amaker of North.
