Obituary of Billie Lee Jackson

LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Lee Jackson, 67, of Lexington, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Lexington Baptist Church. Pastor Dave Copeland will officiate. Burial will follow in Lexington Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Mrs. Jackson, beloved wife of Robert Ray Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Sally Mathis and Tausig Moak and father, William Hernandez. She was a faithful attendant of Lexington Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from Wachovia after 25 years of service. Surviving in addition to her husband of 50 years, Robert Ray Jackson of Lexington; daughters, Angela O'Connell (Lenny) of Lexington and Laura Jackson-Cook (Michael) of Batesburg; son, Robert Jackson (Tracey) of Leesville; sisters, Lucille Snelgrove (Calvin) of Blythewood and Teresa Jackson of Hendersonville, NC; brothers, Butch Moak (Cathy), Norman Moak (Donnette) and Mark Moak all of Blythewood; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Stephen and R.J., Mallarie, Tyler and BayLee and three great-grandchildren, Melody, Paul and Ruth; and lifelong best friend, Judy Scott. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Roy Lee Jackson.
