Obituary of Dessie M. Boles

PELION—A memorial service for Dessie Mae Tager Boles, 82, of Pelion, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Pelion. Reverend Kathryn Scarborough will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, PO Box 26, Pelion, SC 29123. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073 will be assisting the family. Mrs. Boles, beloved wife of 40 years to the late Rodney Boles, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013. Born in Orangeburg, she was a daughter of the late Wilder Tager and Nattie Lee Dempsey. She was a lifetime member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a beloved mother, and loved flowers, her church and was a wonderful cook. Surviving are children, Sandra Johnson (Bruce) of Pelion, Jessie Deas of Pelion, Betty Armstrong (Eddie) of Gilbert; grandchildren, Rodney Johnson (Kate), Alex Johnson and Olivia Johnson, Breck Armstrong, and Sheri Paxton (Richard); great-grandchildren, Reid Paxton, Ashlei Armstrong and Brooke Armstrong.
