Obituary of Jimmy Boone

LEXINGTON—Funeral service for Jimmy Boone, 72, of Lexington, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Boone, beloved husband of Barbara Hudson Boone, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Coley Boone and Maggie Gainey Boone. He retired from Wellington Synthetic Fibers. Jimmy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara Boone of Lexington; daughters, Kimberly Broadway of Leesville, Rhonda Planer (Stephen) of Gaston and Angelia Boone Buchner of Wagoner; sons, Jim Boone of Gaston, Juston Boone of Lexington; grandchildren, Coley Boone, Rutland Martin, Katie Boone, Hudson Martin, Samantha Boone, Phillip Lucas, Dylan Lucas, Bryson Holt, Kensington Martin, Joseph Vinson and Christopher Vinson. He was preceded in death by his son, Frankie Boone as well as two sisters and five brothers.
