Obituary of Ralph A. Stone

WEST COLUMBIA—A memorial service for Ralph Allen Stone, Sr., 82, of West Columbia, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. Burial will be private. Mr. Stone passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Born in West Columbia, he was the youngest son of the late Julian M. Stone and Lena Rhodes Stone. A United States Marine Corps Veteran who owned his own trucking company, he enjoyed fishing and selling cars. He loved his family, and they will miss him dearly. Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 64 years, Annie Sox Stone; daughters, Donna Stone, Shirley Wooley (Jerry), Mary King (Eddy) all of West Columbia and Ralphetta Stone; son, Allen Stone of West Columbia; sister, Betty Etheridge of Lake City, FL; seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Julian Robert Stone.
