Obituary of Anthony Pier DeLucia
GASTON—Funeral services for Anthony Pier DeLucia, 70, of Gaston, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Pastor Mark Bredholt will be officiating. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mr. DeLucia, beloved husband of Deborah H. DeLucia, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014. Born in Fermo, Italy, he was a son of the late Giuseppe A. DeLucia and Ida Luciani DeLucia. He proudly served in the United States Army. He began in August 1969 at Harsco Rail, where he worked for 44 years. He held numerous patents and enjoyed Clemson football, sports cars and his Harley.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 15 years, Deborah Howell DeLucia of Gaston; daughter, Sonya M. Hancock (David) of Irmo; son, Joseph A. DeLucia (Shelley) of West Columbia; step-daughter, Felicia H. Pittman (Thomas) of Swansea; four grandchildren, David Hancock, Jr., Lindsey and Kirsten DeLucia and Caleb Pittman; brother, Luigi DeLucia of New York, NY; also survived by a large and loving extended family.
