Obituary of Elizabeth Piotter

LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Elizabeth Anne Piotter, 89 of Lexington, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Lexington Baptist Church, 308 E. Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072. Reverend Jerry Freeman and Reverend Bob Jurick will officiate. Burial will be concluded in Florence National Cemetery, 803 E. National Cemetery Road, Florence, SC 29506 at 1:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Mrs. Piotter was the beloved wife of 51 years to the late Albert Joseph Piotter. She passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late David Franklin and Jessie B. Young Erfley. She was a charter member of Grace Bible Alliance Church, and a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She was the former president of the AARP local chapter. Surviving daughters, JoAnn Rhodes (Russ), Pamela Cothran, Beverly Piotter, Rebecca Thome (Don), Judy Karle (Tim), and Nancy Smith (Jeff), 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen McDonald and a granddaughter, Misty Ezzelle.
