I was truly sadden to hear about your father's death. We worked together for many years. He was the first to offer me a job at Alcorn Middle after working as a student teacher. I will always remember the smile, laughter and great talks we had about the love of Lynn, Donald and Mrs. Mary.
The last time I saw your father was at Mrs. Wrigley's funeral and we talked for hours with great laughter, and this is how I will remember him with that great smile.
May God bless you and his proud grandchildren he spoke of.
My sympathy,
Audrey T. Smalls

I am a greeter at Riverland Hills and just got to shake Mr. Snipes hand last Sunday as he made his way across the courtyard on his way to Sunday School. Another greeter said hello Ralph; I made my way to him. I told them I would always call him "Mr. Snipes" because I had gotten his famous leather barber strap across my rear end at Alcorn Junior High in the late 60's, something you would never forget. Mr. Snipes was also my Sunday School teacher at Eau Claire Baptist Church during that time. I have lots of good memories of him and some pretty funny stories. He was a very good man and will be missed by many.

Mr. Snipes....was officiating a football game at Irmo High School in 1967. I was playing and got a dirty hit.....I said a couple of bad words. Ralph threw the unsportsmanlike conduct flag for a 15 yrd. penalty. Did I mention he was also my Sunday school teacher.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Snipes passing. He was the Assistant Principle with Mr. Woody Lucas, Principal when I was at Alcorn Middle. I worked in the school office as a student helper and he was hard but fair. We all knew to walk the line with Mr., Snipes but we need more like him today. He impacted a lot of students in his time in school administration. You all were blessed to have him so long.Blessings,
Debbie Eargle Wicker
