Obituary of June Morris Waller

June Morris Waller, 82 of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Agape Hospice House. Born Saturday, July 11, 1931 in Kannapolis, NC, she was a daughter of the late Crowell C. and Geneva (Deese) Morris. Mrs. Waller was a librarian with Richland School District 1, and retired after more than 27 years. Prior to her illness, she had been working part-time for Hertz Rental Car. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waller was preceded in death by her husband, George Waller; as well as a son, Rodney Waller. She is survived by her children, Kelly Lynn Barrett (Todd) of Lugoff, Roger Waller, also of Lugoff and Robert Waller of West Columbia; sister, Mrs. Clarice Honeycutt, of Harrisburg, NC; five grandchildren, Melinda Kurhan, Chandler Barrett, Austin Waller, Sydney Waller and Taylor Waller; and one great granddaughter, Amelia Violet Kurhan. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M., on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Interment will immediately follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 3:00 P.M., prior to the service at the funeral home.
