Obituary of Faye Louise Cook Romanstine

COLUMBIA—Mrs. Faye Louise Cook Romanstine, a devoted wife and loving mother, stepped from this earthly life and entered into the presence of her Redeemer the Lord Jesus Christ on February 25, 2014. She loved Jesus and lived her life to Glorify Christ. She was a devoted member of the West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene for over 52 years. She was responsible for organizing the Senior Adult Ministry Program. She enjoyed cooking and always welcomed family and guest with homemade pound cake, cinnamon rolls, or candy. She loved family gatherings and traveling to the mountains. She was born in Columbia, SC and was the daughter of the late Monroe and Maud Graddick Cook. She shared the sacred bond of marriage with her loving husband, William Weston Romanstine, Sr. until he entered the presence of his Redeemer the Lord Jesus Christ in 1999. Survived by are her loving children, Georgie Metz (Ernie), Martha Romanstine, Billy Romanstine, Jr. (Mary Ann), David Romanstine (Donna), Ginger Jumper (Mike), Alice Romanstine-Hall (John Marc), Daniel Romanstine (Kellie) and Paul Romanstine (Laurie); 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. She was shown special attention by nephew, Charles Cook. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Faye Price and her husband, Hillis; brothers, Andrew Cook, Frank Cook and John Henry Cook. Funeral services for Faye Louise Cook Romanstine will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 at West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, 305 Wattling Road, West Columbia, SC 29169. Paul Romanstine and Reverend Bill Harmon will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. Her loving grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. The family will greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Memorials may be made to Pineview Baptist Church - Guatemala Missions, 3010 Leaphart Road, West Columbia, SC 29169. "She loved and adored her family and leaves them to cherish her memory".
