Obituary of William Dukes Sineath

A graveside service celebrating the life of William Dukes Sineath, 88, of Columbia will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 with Pastor Mark Bredholt officiating. Mr. Sineath departed this earthly life on Friday, February 28, 2014. He was born on October 7, 1925 in St. George, SC to the late James E. Sineath and Marie Dukes Sineath. Mr. Sineath was a former naval officer in WWII and a 1948 graduate from the University of South Carolina. He was also a former federal narcotic agent with the Treasury Department. He retired in 1991 after 30 years as an office manager with a local plumbing company. Mr. Sineath was predeceased by his wife, Josephine "Jo" Sineath. Surviving are a son, William J. Sineath; two daughters, Robin Brantley (Dale) and Donna Huneycutt (Phil); a brother, James E. Sineath (Evelyn); a host of grandchildren; other family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
