Obituary of Jewel Sapp Garvin

WEST COLUMBIA—Jewel Sapp Garvin, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Born in Claxton, GA on July 9, 1923 she was a daughter to the late William Wright Sapp and Janie Tucker Sapp. She was a high school graduate and was a dedicated and loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving is her daughter, Gail G. Day of Lexington, SC and son, Robin Garvin (Lyn) of Athens, GA; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton T. Garvin; her son, Teddy Garvin and a sister, Eunice Hagan. A graveside service will be held in Savannah, GA. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073 will be assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Susan G.
