Obituary of Despina Ann Valsecchi

A memorial service celebrating the life of Despina Ann Valsecchi, 52, of Columbia will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 with Pastor Mark Bredholt officiating. "D'Ann" as she was affectionately called by her family and friends departed this earthly life on Friday, March 14, 2014 after a long battle with Cancer. She was born in New York, NY to George D. Manjounes and Despina Ann Nicolaides. D'Ann and Fulvio were married in 1987 and celebrated 27 years together this past January. D'Ann has been a prominent business woman in the city of Columbia for 20 plus years. Her contributions as co-owner with her husband Fulvio Valsecchi to Ristorante Divino and owner of Divino Products will live on and her presence will be missed. Surviving are her husband, Fulvio Valsecchi; her daughters, Alexandra Despina Valsecchi and Paulina Katherine Valsecchi; her brother, John George Manjounes; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
