Obituary of Karen Louise Marshall

A celebration of life service for Karen Louise (Pfeifer) Marshall, 66, of Hopkins will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Mrs. Marshall departed this earthly life on Friday, March 14, 2014 at her residence with her husband, Douglas by her side. She was born in Springfield, Illinois to Ira and Eleanor Ring Pfeifer. Mrs. Marshall was predeceased by her parents and a son-in-law, Tim Smith. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her husband of 42 years, Douglas R. Marshall; her children, Tracye Smith of Bristol, TN, Robin Carroll (Wayne Godfrey) of Asheville, NC, and Bennie F. Carroll, Jr. of Bristol, TN; five grandchildren, Brandy (Bo) Johnson, Timmy Smith, Amber Snodgrass, Christopher Carroll, and Shawn Carroll all of Bristol, TN; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Mills of Woodbridge, VA and Ronald (Debbie) Pfeifer of Bristol, TN; brother-in-law, Randy (Lynn) Marshall of Liberty Township, OH; a niece, Lori (Dan) Freed of Cape Coral, FL; a nephew, David (Lori) Marshall of Akron, OH; a sister-in-law, Sherrie (John) Castle of Columbus, OH; a brother-in-law, Barry (Laura) Marshall of Fredrickstown, OH; a sister-in-law, Melodye Marshall of Columbus, OH; other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
