Obituary of Tony Elmo Dallis

Tony Elmo Dallis, 80, of Batesburg-Leesville, entered into rest March 20, 2014 at the Agape Hospice House. Born August 1, 1933 in Lincolnton, GA, he was a son of the late Frank and Leila (Rodgers) Dallis. A veteran of the US Army, he was a computer programmer with C&S Bank for more than 34 years. Mr. Dallis was a member of Platt Springs United Methodist Church, the Cayce Masonic Lodge 384, Jamil Temple, Scottish Rite, the Choo Choos and the ROJ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth M. Dallis; daughter, Teresa Lynn Dallis; brothers, John Will, Frances Marion and Sanders Dallis; and one sister, L. E. Norman. Mr. Dallis is survived by his daughter, Debra Kittrell and his favorite son-in-law Richard; sisters, Vivian Bryant and Doris Adams; grandchildren, Michael Ray and Brian Lee Griffin (Stephanie); great grandchildren, Christian, Santanna (Marty), Jaden, Kenzie and Chase Griffin; one great great grandson, "Little" Marty Hayes Cox; and a very close friend, Barbara Brooks. We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Agape Hospice and Agape Hospice House, specifically Jody Garmon, for the care, compassion and time she spent with our family. We would also like to thank our family friend Karen Bryant for the love and support she shared with us through Daddy's illness. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
