Obituary of Thera Bobb Shealy Clyburn

GREER—A graveside service for Thera Bobb Shealy Clyburn, 90, of Greer, formerly of Columbia, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery, Delree Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. The Reverend Wade Roof will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Clyburn's name to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1 Caledon Court, #1B, Greenville, SC 29615. Mrs. Clyburn was the daughter of Dolyn Baxter and Janie Ethel Derrick Shealy. She retired from Midlands Center for Mental Health. While she passed away at Oakleaf Village in Greer, Mrs. Clyburn was a long time resident of Forest Acres in Columbia. Mrs. Clyburn had 4 children, David Johns of Columbia, Bob Johns of Spring, TX and Susan Gregg of Greenville. She was predeceased by son, Richard Johns. She was a caring grandmother of 5 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. She has one living sister, Rebecca Baines of Lexington. She was predeceased by her husband William U. Clyburn, her parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
