Obituary of Delilah Hutchinson Yandle

COLUMBIA-A funeral service celebrating the life of Delilah Hutchinson Yandle, 69, of Columbia will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 with Pastor David Sturgeon officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverbanks Zoo Botanical Garden, the Wounded Warrior Project, or the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Delilah's memory. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida to John Calvin Hutchinson and Wincie McDonald Hutchinson. Ms. Yandle retired from the Dorn VA Medical Center after many years of dedicated service and she was currently employed at Pure Power Technologies. Ms. Yandle was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Deborah Kelly. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her children, Teresa Yandle Bridges (David), Richard Dillard Yandle, Jr. and Christine Yandle Furr (Brad); five grandchildren, Tabitha J. Lynch (Kevin), Phillip Joseph Guinn, Ashley Lane Guinn, Matthew William Furr, and Johnathan Richard Furr; three great-grandchildren, Taryn Marie Lynch, Miri Hayden Lynch, and Ava Caroline Sapp; three sisters, Phyllis Phillips (Bob), Betty McDaniel (Bernie), and Jackie Kirkland; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
