Obituary of James Lee Blake

GASTON-Funeral service for James Lee Blake, Sr., 60 of Gaston, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Reverend Robert Sloan will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Cleveland Memorial Park, 1225 College Ave, Shelby, NC 28152. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. James passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014. Born February 19, 1954, in Charlotte, NC, he was a son of the late Curtis Lee and Lura Nichols Blake. He was the owner of Blake Electrical Company. Surviving are his children, Jennifer Martin, Deanne Blake, Nicki Blake and Amanda Blake and James Lee Blake, Jr.; grandchildren, Savannah Barnes, Dylan Pheasant and Auston Branden Jones; brother, Kenneth L. Blake (Donna); and niece, Missy Blake.
