Obituary of Carl H. Almond

TAMPA, FL - Dr. Carl H. Almond, MD, World Renowned Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon, died April 1, 2014 on his 88th birthday. He served as Professor and Chairman at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 1000 B Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29169. Reverend Wade Roof and Reverend Carroll McGee will officiate. Visitation with the family will be at Embassy Suites following the service. The family request memorials may be made to the Columbia Rotary Club or Christ Central Ministries' Free Medical Clinic, 108 Park Terrace Drive, Columbia, SC 29212.
