Beth, my heart hurts for you. I am so sorry for you and your family's loss. You raised a fine young man. I will be out of town Saturday but you will be in my thoughts and I will be praying for you and the girls.

I did not know this young man personally but through a friend of a friend. I just want to thank him for giving to our country the ultimate sacrifice. I would like to let his Mother and Sisters know that I am praying for them and for the many friends who are suffering from this great, great loss. Carol Batson

I do not know this young man personally but would like to tell him thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice for our country. That says enough about this young man's character to know what a wonderful son, brother, friend, or colleague he was. I'm sure he will be missed but never forgotten by many, especially those of us who appreciate our military, what they stand for, and what they do for us. Thank you again. May God provide comfort and peace to your family and friends.

I went to elementary, middle, and high school with Ed. We grew up in the same neighborhood past Rush's. I remember specifically the time I spent with Ed and his mother, Beth at their home for our 5th grade OM team meetings. This was such a fun and creative experience that Mrs. Chaffin provided us. I also remember feeling a sense of comfort spending time with another tow/toe-head growing up. I was always a little self conscious, but Ed and I fit right in together. Wishing his family much comfort and sending positive energy during this tragic time in their lives. Ed leaves behind an amazing legacy. I will be forever thankful and indebted to him for the selfless service he provided our country!
