Obituary of Lee W. DuBois-Bailey
CHAPIN-Lee "LT" William DuBois-Bailey, 37, of Chapin, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. He was born September 4, 1976 in Kansas City, MO. A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to be made to Darby Conrad's 529 Education Fund at Most Advisor Plan, 201 Main Street, Suite 4, Parkville, MO 64152, c/o Barry Bailey. Lee attended Park Hill High School where he was varsity kicker on the Trojan football team. He graduated from the University of Central Missouri. He was a punter and kicker on the UCM Mules Football Team and was selected for the 1st team as a punter for the Mid-America Inter-Collegiate Athletic Association. He graduated from the United States Army Ranger School in Fort Benning, GA, and did tours of duty in South Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay. He completed his service with the United States Army with the rank of Captain. He was currently employed with Carolina Inboard.
He leaves behind a daughter, Darby Conrad of Lexington; parents, Barry and Sally Bailey of Parkville, MO; father, Delbert "Duke" DuBois of Blue Springs, MO; sisters, Kate DuBois Burke and fiancé, (Ashley Simcoe) of Kansas City, MO, and Kimberly DuBois Ertz (John) of Shaker Heights, OH; and a large and loving extended family. We have received condolences from friends all over the world, for that we are extremely grateful.
