Obituary of Marion Donald Epting

CAYCE—Funeral services for Marion Donald "Duck" Epting, 76, of Cayce will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 at Celestial Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, SC 29170. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Duck passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014. He was born on April 27, 1937 and was the son of the late Carl H. and Vodice Lott Epting. Duck served in the National Guard in Columbia from 1954 to 1984. He is survived by his sons, Allan and Carl (Stacey); grandchildren, Justin, Shelby, Savannah, Bailey, Carlee, and Matt; one great-grandchild, James; sisters, Merlee Stuck and Joan Ringer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jennings Epting; brothers, Darr Epting and Kibler Epting; sister, Carolyn Gavlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Charity of one's choice.
