Obituary of Mary Ella O'Cain Myers

A graveside service celebrating the life of Mary Ella O'Cain Myers, 90, of Columbia will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Four Holes Baptist Church Cemetery, 1622 Four Holes Road, Orangeburg, SC 29115 with Rev. R.L. Zeigler officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Holes Baptist Church (Children's Ministry and Choir) in Mary's honor. On-line condolences may be sent to www.Thompsonsfuneral.com. Mrs. Myers departed this earthly life on Monday, April 21, 2014. She was born in Orangeburg, SC to the late Hubert W. O'Cain and Nell Zeigler-Antley O'Cain. Mrs. Myers retired from K-Mart Stores, Inc. She was predeceased by her husband, Major (Ret.) John B. Myers, US Army; a brother, Hubert W. O'Cain, Jr.; and sisters, Annie L. Ott, Edna Z. Ballard, and Lois A. Kemmerlin. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her son, Karl B. Myers; a grandson, John Kendall Myers; a granddaughter, Kasey Myers Neely and her husband, William H. Neely; two great-grandchildren, W. Heyward Neely and her namesake, Mary Campbell Neely; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
