Obituary of Muriel Kalahaehae Young

A memorial service celebrating the life of Muriel Kalahaehae Young, 61, of Columbia will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at North Point Community Church, 532 North Brickyard Road, Columbia, SC 29223. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice in Muriel's memory. Muriel departed this earthly life on Monday, April 28, 2014. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to John K. Young, Jr. and Agnes Akau Young. Muriel retired from Kroger Grocery Stores, Inc. after many years of dedicated service. Muriel was predeceased by her father, John K. Young, Jr.; a brother, John P. Young; and a nephew, Jonathan Young-Williams. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her loving mother, Agnes Akau Young; her siblings, Doreen K. Putnal (Charles), Diana H. Nichols (Joel), Cherylann K. Samide, Nina Young-Williams (David), Linda Young-Baggott (Todd), and Christina H. Orellana (Miguel); her godson, Richard K. Nichols; nieces and nephews, Stephen, John, Desiree, Jamie, Joshua, Robert, James, and Malia; other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
