Obituary of Roger Dale Baker

CAYCE—Funeral services for Roger Dale Baker, 54, of Cayce, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Cayce Church of the Nazarene, 2201 Taylor Road, Cayce, SC 29033. Reverend David Spires will officiate. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Mr. Baker, beloved husband, father and Pa Pa passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Born in Orangeburg County, he was a son of the late Silas Baker and Helen Deeas Baker. Surviving are his wife, Lisa H. Baker of Cayce; sons, Shane Leroy Baker (Leslie "Katy") of West Columbia, Cody Baker (Sarah) of Gaston, Lance Baker of Cayce; 3 grandchildren, Colt Baker, Silas Baker and Lilly Baker; sisters, Ardis Kelly (Pete) of Columbia; brother, Jimmy Baker of Gaston; nephew, Jimmy Baker, Jr and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lucille Fields. The family would like to give a special thanks to Anna, Carla, Rachael and Crystal.
