Obituary of Lowell Eugene Nordquist

LEXINGTON—A memorial service for Lowell Eugene Nordquist, 68, of Lexington, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, 226 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Reverend Jane Mitcham will officiate. The family would like to invite you to a reception following the service in the Family Life Center at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington is assisting the family. Mr. Nordquist, beloved husband of Carol Weight Nordquist, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Born in Valley City, North Dakota, he was a son of the late Carl Victor Nordquist and Ethel Geharda Selsand. He received his BA degree from North Dakota State University and a Masters from Western Michigan University. The family would like to thank Dr. Henry Martin, Dr. Steve Madden and the nurses on the 8th floor Oncology at Lexington Medical Center. Surviving is his wife, Carol Weight Nordquist of Lexington; sons, Eric Nordquist of Lafayette, LA and Chris Nordquist of Asheville, NC; sister, Syneva Heupel (Willis) of Great Falls, MT; brothers, Richard Nordquist (Edna) of Litchville, ND and Kenwood Nordquist (Diane) of Great Falls, MT.
