Obituary of Marguerite Shealy Sease

WEST COLUMBIA-Funeral service for Marguerite Shealy Sease, 96, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1717 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, 29169. Reverend David Kiel will officiate. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W. Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church. Mrs. Sease passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was born November 12, 1917 in Summit, SC and was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Ethel Ricard Shealy. Mrs. Sease was the oldest female member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she served on the Altar Guild for 50+ years. She was also a member of WELCA at the church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister whose life's work was loving her Lord Jesus Christ and caring for her family. Surviving are her daughters, Diane Harper (Eddie) of Lilburn, GA and Sheila Rogers (Worth) of West Columbia; son, Larry Sease of West Columbia; five grandchildren, Todd Sease (Deanna), Tim Sease (Tina), Tony Sease (Lorraine), Jack Rogers and Stacy Rogers Faulkenberry (David); and six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Chandler, Christian, Cole, Riva and Leo Sease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kearney Sease, four sisters, two brothers and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Sease.
