Obituary of Anneliese Hoeppner

Anneliese Hoeppner, 86, of Columbia, entered into rest May 13, 2014 at Heart of Georgia Hospice, in Perry, GA. Born June 1, 1927 in Bamberg, Germany she was a daughter of the late Karl and Anna Klara (Wittauer) Ochs. Mrs. Hoeppner worked with AAFES for over 20 years on various posts throughout the world. She was a hard worker and took pride in everything she did. She especially enjoyed cooking and baking as well as keeping her yard and home tidy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hoeppner was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Eddie D. Hoeppner. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Cassell (Robert); and two granddaughters, Desirée and Katie Cassell. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Entombment will be private and held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3223 Sunset Blvd, Suite 100, West Columbia, SC 29169, or to the Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
