Obituary of Adley Gail Rekers

LEXINGTON—Adley Gail Rekers died peacefully in the arms of her loving parents on May 19, 2014 after 40 beautiful and unforgettable minutes. Although her earthly body was flawed, she was perfect in every way. She weighed 6 pounds 3.5 ounces and was 17 inches long. Adley was the beloved daughter of Timothy and Jamie Rekers and baby sister to brothers Ethan and Eli of Lexington, SC. She is survived by maternal grandparents, James and Gail Wright; paternal grandparents, George and Sharon Rekers; aunts and uncles, Justin (Nicole) Wright, Steven (Paige) Rekers, Andrew (Megan) Rekers, Matthew (Kayla) Rekers, Mark (Amanda) Rekers, and Brandon Rekers; maternal great-grandmother, Deloris Crawford; paternal great-grandparents, Mark and Nancy Wright. She is also survived by numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins. Adley is being greeted in Heaven by maternal great-grandfather, Robert Kendall Crawford; paternal great-grandparents, Chalmer and Emma Chapin and Roger and Helen Rekers. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, May 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Reverend Wesley Church will officiate. We thank God for blessing us with our beautiful angel who we look forward to being reunited with one day in heaven.
