Obituary of Walldean Abbott

A memorial service celebrating the life of Walldean Aucoin Abbott, 76, of Columbia will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Inurnment will follow in the columbarium at Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Abbott departed this earthly life peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was born in Ville Platte, Louisiana to the late Sabby Aucoin and Agnes Aucoin. Mrs. Abbott was predeceased by her brothers, Jack Aucoin and Jerry Aucoin; and she was also predeceased by her sister-in-law, Faye Aucoin, the wife of her brother, Sam. Those left to cherish Walldean's beautiful memories are her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Norman "Dale" Abbott; her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Wayne Abbott and his wife, Kelly Ann Abbott and Jimmy Dale Abbott and his wife, Brenda Gay Abbott; a grandson, Steven Michael Abbott; two sisters, Diana Vidrine (Cleo) and Wanda Soileau (JC); a brother, Sam Aucoin; a sister-in-law, Gloria Aucoin; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
