Obituary of Alice Corena Branham

COLUMBIA—A graveside service for Alice Corena Branham, 79, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens, 501 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201. Her brother, The Reverend Curtis Cameron will officiate. The family will greet friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Branham, beloved wife of 56 years to the late Grady Brooks Branham, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Born in Great Falls, SC, she was a daughter of the late William H. Cameron and Vastie Pressley Cameron. Corena was a member of Southside Baptist Church and would visit shut-ins with her church group. She worked for 20 years with Randy Apparel and 10 years with Capital city Manufacturing. She was a member in MADD and We Are Olympia, home association. Surviving are her daughter, Sherril Carmen (boyfriend, Tony Wood) of Columbia; grandson, Lee Hagins (Jennifer) of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Joscelyn Hagins and Cameron Hagins; sister, Mary Ann Lewis (Frankie) of Greer; brother, Reverend Curtis Cameron of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tim Hagins and two brothers, Durant Cameron and Oscar Cameron.
