Obituary of Virginia Marie Felder
WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Virginia Marie Felder, 80, of West Columbia, will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at Central Church of the Nazarene. Dr. James Thrower and Reverend David Spires will officiate. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073.
Mrs. Felder, beloved wife of the late Henry Raymond Felder, Sr. passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Cooper and Florrie E. Cooper.
Known as "Aunt Doody" or "Grandma Re" to her extended family, she was a nurturing and selfless woman who loved people, and provided unconditional love and refuge for those who needed it. She also had an amazing love for her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was an animal lover who was known far and wide for her sharp wit and sense of humor. Her sunny disposition and infectious smile will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind. She was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene in West Columbia, and had retired from K-Mart.
Surviving are her sons, Henry "Butch" Felder, Jr. (Kimberlee) of West Columbia and Robert Lewis Felder (Sandee Greene) of Gaston; six grandchildren; sister, Naomi Seybt of West Columbia. She was preceded in death by her brother, John L. "J.L." Cooper.
