Obituary of Mary Frances Fitzgerald

Mary Frances Fitzgerald, 90, of Columbia passed away, July 25, 2014 at her home. She was the widow Col. Douglas I. Fitzgerald, US Army (Ret). Born in Pulaski, TN she was the only child of the late Julian Brownlow Smith and Lillian Garrett Smith Warne. Attending both public and private schools in Alabama, Mrs. Fitzgerald attended college prior to marrying her husband and accompanying him on his many military assignments. She was a member of the Fort Jackson Women's Golf Association. At Mrs. Fitzgerald's request services will be private. She leaves a wide circle of friends and caregivers all of whom will miss her dearly.
