Betty Jane Decker Riebman Columbia - A graveside service for Betty Jane Decker Riebman, 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens, 501 Elmwood Ave, Columbia, SC 29201. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia. Born on March 13, 1932 in Columbia, SC she was a daughter of the late Carlisle and Lillie Mae McLaurin. Betty is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Decker Finklea and her husband Clyde L. Finklea; sisters, Margie Padgett and Joann Cronin; brothers, Bobby McLaurin, Johnny McLaurin and Larry McLaurin; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Patricia M. Decker. Betty was predeceased by her son, Alvin Decker, Jr.; sisters and brothers, Joyce Patton, Pete McLaurin, Jack McLaurin, Billy Jean McLaurin, George McLaurin and James McLaurin.
