Obituary of Elfriede Olga Gipson

Columbia - Elfriede Olga (Weis) Gipson, 69, of Columbia entered into rest, August 13, 2014 at UniHealth Post-Acute Care, Columbia. Born June 18, 1945 in Lockstein, Germany she was a daughter of the late Josef and Augusta (Hauner) Weis. In June of 1985, she and her former husband moved to the United States, where they settled in Columbia. Mrs. Gipson is survived by her daughter, Claudia A. Thompson (Tyrone); son, Robert Weis; grandchildren, Tamara Gipson, Laketta Thompson and Tyrone Thompson, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Jordan, Joshua and Jayda Phillips. Services will be private and held at a later date.
