Obituary of Edwin F. Finan

West Columbia - Funeral services for Edwin F. Finan, 67, of West Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Burial will follow with full military honors in Southland Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Funeral Home. Mr. Finan passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. He was born in Allegheny, PA on May 5, 1947 to the late Edwin F. Finan, Sr. and Nita Colbert Finan. He retired from the US Army and the US Postal Service and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was an inspiration to young people and his extended family. Mr. Finan is survived by his wife, Penny Boone Finan; children, Phillip Finan, Kathy Finan Wright, James Finan and Jordan Finan; brothers, Paul Finan and Richard W. Keenan Finan; and sisters, Sharon Finan and Linda Finan; step-children, David C. Warner, Misty W. Crumpton and 10 grandchildren.
