Obituary of Joan E McKissick

McKissick, 63, of Columbia will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 with Reverend Dr. Terry Cagle officiating. Mrs. McKissick departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 11, 2014. She was born in East Stroudsburg, PA to the late Walter Robert Berger and Margaret Elizabeth Pensyl. Mrs. McKissick was a veteran of the United States Army and she retired from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health as a nurse. Surviving are her husband, George W. McKissick; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer McKissick Rayl and Justin Rayl; a sister, Judy Herdman; two brothers, Ron and Steve Berger; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
