Obituary of Avril Faith Haltiwanger Bremer

West Columbia- Avril Faith Haltiwanger Bremer, 59, departed this short life, September 11, 2014, for life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a daughter of the late LM Haltiwanger and Elizabeth Tillinghast Haltiwanger. She lived her life caring for those she loved as a wife, mother, daughter and caregiver. She loved her family and her animals. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with an associate's degree in Science in Child Development and from Midlands Technical College with an associate's degree in Science in Human Services. She was employed by Home Instead Senior Care and served her clients with compassion and love. She was a member of Christian Life Assembly and loved the Lord with all her heart. Mrs. Bremer is survived by her husband of 26 years, Walter Perry Bremer; daughters, Keisha (Jeff) Preloznik and Emily Faith Bremer; stepson, Mike (September) Bremer; grandchildren, Madison, Ashlyn and Christopher; brother, Arthur (Art) Haltiwanger; sisters, Lois (Dave) Harter, Elinor (Sammy) Hutto and Harriet (Keith) Hoyle; numerous nieces and nephews; also, her sister in the Lord, Eileen Bogdan. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Hugh Haltiwanger; and mother-in-law, Lois Bremer. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Inurnment will be held prior to the memorial service. The family would like to extend thanks to all those who were friends and caregivers to her during this time of sickness, especially to the caring nurses and staff at Agape Hospice House.
