A memorial service celebrating the life of "Gigi" will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. "Gigi" was born on June 23, 1940 and passed on from her physical body to her eternal spiritual body with the Creator on Thursday, September 25, 2014. She was an only child born to her parents in Berlin, Germany becoming a U.S. Citizen on January 20, 1976. "Gigi" life's work as MOS Librarian for more than 30 plus years with the U.S. Army helping young soldiers acquire knowledge and skills to better serve our country. "Gigi" was also well-known from her warm smile and a helping heart while working in the Ladies Department at JB Whites and Belk department store. May the joys of having known her always bring smiles upon your face and heart from our time with her here on earth.
