Obituary of William Branham

Eastover, SC - A funeral service celebrating the life of William "Buddy" Branham, 70, of Eastover will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice in Buddy's memory. Buddy as he was affectionately known and called by his family and friends departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 27, 2014 on Warriors Walk at the Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. He was born in Columbia, SC to William Branham and Beatrice Branham Creech. Buddy was the owner and operator of Carolina Heating and Air and he was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. Buddy was predeceased by his parents; a son, William "Billy" Branham; his father and mother-in-law, Henry and Nettie Leese Brown; and a sister-in-law, Joyce B. Bennett. Those left to cherish his fond memories are his loving and devoted wife of 33 years, Jean Brown Branham; his daughter and son-in-law, Meredith "Merry" and David Kammerer; five grandchildren, Stephen, Daniel, Destiny, Hallell, and Nathan Kammerer; two sisters, Carolyn Arant and her husband Martin Arant and Linda Sanders; a sister-in-law, Jane Brown Rich; a brother-in-law, Dan Bennett; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. A special heartfelt thanks is extended to the caregivers on Warriors Walk at the Dorn VA Medical Center, NHC Sumter, Tuomey Hospital, and Home Instead for the compassionate care of Buddy during his illness.
