Obituary of Russell Graham Pleasant

Russell G. Pleasant, Sr. 85 of Gilbert, South Carolina passed away on September 29, 2014 at the Agape Hospice House in Columbia, South Carolina. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel in Lexington, SC. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC. Russell was married to Lois T. Pleasant for 64 wonderful years. Russell served our country in the Navy and the Air force and retired from the Air National Guard and Carolina Eastman after working for over 25 years. Russell is survived by his wife, Lois Pleasant, a son Russell "Rusty" Pleasant, Jr.(Laura) of Greenville, SC and a daughter Cathy S. Pleasant of Lexington, SC; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, Also surviving are 4 brothers, Johnny (Nancy) Ed (Barbara), Richard "Dickey" (Jean), and Tommy (Yvonne) Pleasant and 3 sisters, Pearl Kyzer (Jacob), Nellie Ann "Pumpkin" Barfield and deceased Al Barfield and Mary Helen Clorer and deceased Bill Clorer and the late Lee Browder and many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Agape Nursing Home or Agape Hospice House,141Stoneridge Dr., Columbia, SC 29169. The family of Russell G.
