Obituary of Pauline Berry

Services for Pauline "Polly" Wise Jones Berry, 88, of Lexington, widow of Clarence Jerald "Pete" Berry, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Services will be officiated by Reverend Gill Belec. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the home of Wayne and Margie Coker. Mrs. Berry died Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Born in College Place, SC, she was the daughter of the late David Simpson and Cassie Lucas Wise. She was a member of Calvary Community Church. Prior to her retirement as a childcare provider, Mrs. Berry loved and cared for many children in her home. Surviving are her grandson, Bradley J. Jones (Brian Regienczuk) and great-grandson, Gavin C. Regienczuk-Jones of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Lori E. Jones and great-grandchildren, Shelby E. Matthews (Mark), Caleb S. Jones and Tristen W. Jones of Lexington, SC; step-daughters, Sheila B. Wade (Kenneth) and Robin B. Teague of Hickory, NC; Jill B. Johnson (Robert) of Mt. Pleasant, and Cindy Berry (Joe) of N. Wilkesboro, NC; former daughter-in-law, Margaret W. Coker (Wayne) of West Columbia, SC; and brother, David S. "Billy" Wise (Barbara) of Aiken, SC. Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her first husband, Bradley F. Jones and their son, Larry S. Jones; sisters, Inez Lucas, Lila Dangerfield, Lucille Clark, Martha "Beck" Williams, Willadean "Deane" Bagnal; and brother, Horace L. Wise.
