Obituary of Mary W. Landing

Columbia A memorial service for Mary W. Landing, 90, of Columbia, will be held at Whaley St. United Methodist Church, 517 Whaley Street, Columbia, SC 29201, at 2:30 P.M., on Thursday, October 9, 2014 with Rev. Rex Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends at church, prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be held following the service at 4:00 P.M., in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Landing died October 4, 2014 after enduring a long illness. Born March 11, 1924 at 736 Heyward St., Columbia she was a daughter of the late John T. and Bessie Wilson. She is survived by her son Joseph Thomas McQuatters (Betty Jo); granddaughter, Kelly M. Ridgell; and grandson, Jonathan T. McQuatters. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Cassidy McQuatters, Lauren McQuatters, Jacob and Colby Ridgell; niece, Sarah Wilson; and nephew, Donald Williamson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Debenuion Landing; sisters, Lillie Williamson and Tince Wilson; brother, Clarence Wilson; and niece, Marion Aaron. The family greatly appreciates the care and service provided by Hospice Care of Richland County.
