Obituary of Glenwood C. King

West Columbia - Glen C. King, 84, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Born April 9, 1930 in Cameron, South Carolina, he was was a son of the late Asia A. and Maude Herlong King. Mr. King was a loving father and grandfather and he was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Nell C. King; and a sister, Delores McCants. He is survived by daughters, Debbie (Phil) Gibson of Lexington and Donna Rhodes of Myrtle Beach; Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held at the Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2014. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the gazebo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 4347 Sunset Blvd., Lexington, South Carolina 29072.
