Obituary of Claude Orlando Powell

Claude O. Powell, Jr., 75, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away October 17, 2014 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Powell was born on November 15, 1938 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Claude O. Powell, Sr. and Myra (Dominick) Powell. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed working in his yard. Claude also liked his Harley Davidson motorcycles and watching wrestling. He loved his family, and enjoyed spending time at the lake with them. Claude mostly enjoyed watching the sunsets at the lake house with his wife. Claude is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janelle Powell; a daughter, Terri Robey (David) of Paris France; a son, Barry K. Powell, Sr. (Terri) of Lexington, SC; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 20, 2014, at Woodridge Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington SC 29072 from 11 A.M. until 12 P.M. Funeral services will follow at the Mausoleum Chapel, with burial in Woodridge Memorial Park.
