Obituary of Margaret L. Grimsley

Eastover - Margaret L. Grimsley, 72, of Eastover, entered into rest, October 18, 2014 at Palmetto Health Baptist. Born October 24, 1941in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Ollie (Ford) Lee. Mrs. Grimsley was the former owner of Capitol City Bail Bonding Company, which she and her husband operated for more than 30 years. She enjoyed and spent her leisure time with her sister Lois and friend Margie; traveling, as well as playing bingo and slot machines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Blizzard, Sr.; son, David E. Blizzard; sisters, Nezzie Boyd and Sarah Martin; and a brother, Arthur Lee. Mrs. Grimsley is survived by her sons, Jimmy and Timmy Grimsley, and Eddie Blizzard; sisters, Ruth Martin and Lois Boyd; brother, Junior Lee; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. Interment will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include, Glenn and Mike Lee, Jamey Brown, Billy Boyd, George Boyd and Jimmy Richardson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the funeral home.
